XD Star — formerly known as Xingdian (星点) — began as a specialist producer of high-precision plastic components for the lighting industry. Eighteen years later, we have grown into a vertically integrated LED lighting solutions provider exporting to more than 50 countries worldwide.
The Foundation: Precision Plastics
Our origins in injection moulding remain the technical backbone of everything we produce today. The ability to design and manufacture our own tooling in-house — with over 200 active mould sets in our Dongguan facility — gives us a level of quality control and development speed that pure assembly operations cannot match.
From E27 lamp bodies to LED driver housings, every plastic component that leaves our factory is produced to precise dimensional tolerances, using PC and ABS grades selected for their thermal performance, UV stability, and compliance with RoHS requirements.
Expanding Into Complete Lighting Solutions
Recognising that our manufacturing customers needed more than just components, we progressively expanded our capabilities to include:
- LED driver and transformer production — constant current and constant voltage options, with built-in surge and short-circuit protection
- SMT PCB assembly — LED module and circuit board production using automated pick-and-place and reflow soldering equipment
- Complete luminaire assembly — desk lamps, floor lamps, work lights, decorative pendants, and wall sconces assembled and tested on our production lines
- Full testing laboratory — electrical safety, photometric, aging, and waterproofing test capability in-house
Scale, Flexibility, and Global Reach
Today, XD Star operates from a 5,000+ sqm facility in Dongguan's Hengli Township, with over 100 production staff and a catalogue of more than 500 product models. Our flexible minimum order policy — from 50 pieces on standard lines — allows us to serve both emerging brands seeking small trial orders and established buyers placing large-scale seasonal programmes.
